MySchools

MySchools is the official online directory and application portal for the New York City Department of Education (NYCDOE).

Key Features

• School Directory: Search and filter public schools from 3-K and Pre-K through high school, including middle and high school programs.
• Admissions & Applications: Apply online for 3-K, Pre-K, middle school, and high school. The High School application deadline for the current cycle is December 4, 2026.
• Account Management: Create an account to add your child, save favorite programs, rank program choices (up to 12), and view results or waitlists.

How to Get Started

1. Visit the official MySchools Website.
2. Click Create New Account if you are a new user.
3. Link your child using their student ID and account creation code (available from your current school or a Family Welcome Center).

NYC Schools Account (NYCSA)

You can create or log in to your family profile through the NYC Schools Account (NYCSA) Portal to track your child's education in New York City Public Schools.

What You Can Do on NYCSA

• Track Academics: View report cards, grades, test scores, and graduation progress.
• Monitor Attendance & Schedules: Check daily absence/lateness records, class schedules, and transportation details.
• Manage Student Info: Update emergency contacts in My Student and reset your child's DOE account password.
• Access Resources: Take Parent University classes, report bullying, and use SupportHub.

How to Set Up an Account

1. Visit the Website: Go to schoolsaccount.nyc and click Create Account (or sign in if you already have one).
2. Enter Basic Info: Provide your name, phone number, and email address, then enter the 6-digit verification code sent to your email.
3. Link Your Student: Enter your child's 9-digit Student ID (OSIS) and the Account Creation Code provided by your child's school. If you do not have a creation code, you can continue setup and contact your school's Parent Coordinator to link your student.
